Interested in volunteering?
Come meet the TAILS team at our next Monthly Volunteer Meeting.
We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month 6:30pm - 8pm at the Burroughs Community Center in Bridgeport.
Bottle Feeding Kittens
When orphaned kittens come to TAILS without a mom, they need round-the-clock care to survive. Bottle-feeding kittens is one of the most rewarding volunteer roles we offer, but it’s also one of the most demanding.
These kittens depend on you for every meal, every potty break, and every cuddle. If you’re up for the challenge, we’ll give you all the training and support you need.
Cat Trapping
Our feral cat trapping program is the single biggest program we have that saves cats. Our robust TNR program provides sterilization and vaccination of community cats with the help of volunteers, caretakers, and participating veterinarians.
Feral sites are throughout Fairfield County and trapping is typically at night or on weekends. Training is provided.
Vet Partners
We rely on the generosity of veterinary professionals who are willing to donate or discount services to help us serve more animals, more quickly. Your support allows us to focus our limited funds on outreach, rescue, and supplies — and get animals into safe homes faster.
Spay and Neuter Clinics
Volunteer veterinarians and techs provide spay, neuter and vaccination of community cats at TAILS feral cat clinics. Funded by donations, clinics make a huge impact on local cat colonies and population control.
Clinics are set to resume soon. Contact us if you’re interested in joining the team that plans and runs these clinics.
