Veterinarian Partners
Your expertise can directly change and save lives.
TAILS (The Alliance in Limiting Strays) is a local nonprofit working to reduce pet overpopulation and improve the lives of stray and abandoned animals in our community. One of our biggest challenges? Access to affordable and timely veterinary care.
That’s where you come in.
How Local Vets Can Help
We rely on the generosity of veterinary professionals who are willing to donate or discount services to help us serve more animals, more quickly. Your support allows us to focus our limited funds on outreach, rescue, and supplies — and get animals into safe homes faster.
Specifically, we’re looking for veterinary partners who can:
Provide low-cost spay/neuter appointments
Offer basic wellness checks for rescued cats or kittens
Help with emergency care when possible
Donate appointment slots on a recurring or as-available basis
Even a few appointments a month can make a huge difference.
Why It Matters
When rescue organizations like TAILS are bottlenecked at the vet’s office, everything slows down:
Trapped cats stay in holding longer
Kittens miss critical early care
Foster placements are delayed
More animals remain on the streets
Your time, skill, and compassion can be the key to unlocking better outcomes for animals that have no one else looking out for them.
Ways to Get Involved
Join our vet partner list and let us know when you have occasional openings
Designate a certain number of low-cost appointments per month for rescue animals
Offer discounted rates on specific services (e.g., vaccinations, microchips, diagnostics)
Consult with our rescue team when medical questions arise
We're happy to work within your availability and comfort level.
What TAILS Can Offer
Clear communication and coordination from our volunteer team
Transportation of animals to/from your clinic
Public recognition of your support (if desired)
A chance to make a direct, lifesaving impact — with no long-term commitment
