March/April 2007 Spay Day 2007 – Help us reach our goal of spaying and neutering over 150 cats & dogs

Time

Under 18

As with many of the non profit groups in the area there are liability issues with regards to volunteering with our organization…however…we welcome your help in many aspects such as:

  • Participating in our outreach program
  • Organizing local school events
  • Helping us coordinate and organize our fundraising events
  • Hosting bake sales (either people food or pet food items!)
  • Participation on Team TAILS walk/run fundraising team
  • Creating your own event to help people get their animals spayed or neutered
  • Do a TAILS eBay Drive for items that TAILS can use to raise spay/neuter funds
  • Make fliers for TAILS events

There are many, many ways younger individuals can help us outside of the very short list above.  For example, we have one volunteer who, starting at the age of 7, designed and created beaded jewelry for TAILS and now at the ripe old age of 9 has highlighted the importance of spaying and neutering animals to thousands of people – and she raised $5,000 in the process!  Whereas this may be a rather ambitious undertaking for already-busy youths – even an hour a week of time would be a tremendous help.

So brainstorm as to how you would like to help us and drop us a line – either at info@tailsct.org or (203) 222-1992.  We’d love to hear from you and really need the help!  Thanks!
